About Gozo: the back story

Gozo is greener, quieter and more rural than Malta, about 25 minutes away by the Gozo Channel ferry (gozochannel.com). Victoria, its capital, is crowned by the Citadel; Ġgantija on the Xagħra plateau is one of the oldest free-standing monuments in the world.

See the Citadel and Ġgantija in the morning, Ta’ Pinu and Dwejra in the afternoon, and swim at Ramla Bay or dive at Xlendi.

Stay at least one night: Gozo is too good for a rushed day trip.

Our advice: hire a car on Gozo; the buses are slow for touring.
