Ġgantija stands at the centre of an extraordinary archaeological landscape on the Xagħra plateau. Its two structures were built in the late Neolithic between 3,800 and 2,000 BC, of hard coralline and softer globigerina limestone, and survive in remarkably good condition. A combined ticket includes the Ta’ Kola Windmill nearby (heritagemalta.mt).
